The School House

Farmhouse is spacious for two people and very quiet except for the agricultural vehicles for the ongoing harvest. Everyone we met was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The house was well-appointed and we had our needed peaceful break in a beautiful rural setting. The supplies left for us ( bread, cake, drinks etc.) were delicious and very welcome.

Our week in The School House was perfect and very relaxing and refreshing. The village was quiet and slow-paced, with a brilliant farm shop 5mins walk away. The property was really comfortable and we especially liked the spacious bathroom. The welcome goodies and after-hours access to the stunning Easton Walled Gardens made for a very memorable and uncomplicated holiday. We hope to return!

Charming cottage with excellent facilities. Set in a lovely small village with nearby pub serving excellent fish and chips and homemade pizzas on certain nights. Plenty of places of interest nearby - Lincoln, Stamford, Issac Newton's house, Burghley, Oakham , Rutland Water and of course Easton Walled Gardens which are worth coming for in themselves. So much that we must come back. Thoroughly recommend.

The cottage was lovely, beautifully converted, quiet and well equipped. The supplies left for us were a nice touch (including wine and sloe gin!). Out of hours access to the walled gardens was much appreciated.

Well-appointed, well-equipped, and well-maintained, the School House exceeded our expectations even after we had read such encouraging reviews. Properties for two are not usually so spacious and we appreciated the choice of rooms in which we could sit, as well as the garden. There was dedicated parking immediately outside. There were steep stairs to the first floor (bathroom and bedroom), and although we septuagenarians managed OK, we think it is worth pointing out. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom spacious. We enjoyed our visits to the Walled Garden and we intend to return soon.
