The School House

We had a very enjoyable stay at the School House. It’s been beautifully renovated to create a welcoming, warm and comfortable place to stay with lots of lovely touches to make you feel at home. There’s a great pub and farm shop in easy walking distance and there are so many things to do in the area that there was no way we could get round them all. We’re definitely hoping to come back.

Probably the nicest holiday cottage that we have ever stayed in – and over the years we have stayed in quite a few! It is an interesting building of character, in a peaceful setting, very well presented and with a high quality of provision of facilities. Perfectly spacious for two. Very good folder of “instructions”, and the Estate Office team were most helpful. We found something interesting to do in the area each day - and the bonus of being able to stroll in the Easton walled gardens with no one else around was a real delight.

This was our 3rd visit to The Schoolhouse, a vey cosy comfortable cottage.The welcome pack is a nice touch as is the unlimited log supply and check out time of 11am. There are loads of places to visit in the area and the local pub and farm shop in the village are really good. W shall be back.

The school house is a little gem of a property. The owners have kept some of the original features eg the stone floor in the dining room and original window in the bedroom, Which adds to its charm. We love the garden in the summer and exploring the area with Stamford being our favourite town. The local pub has a good choice of food and the staff always make us feel at home whilst we're staying in the school house. We find staying here so relaxing we've stayed may times and will keep going back to this little piece of heaven.
