College Farm

Enjoy a stay with chickens cats alpacas and a lovely host The place is deliciously hard to find and once ensconced here it is hard to leave There are good vibes from past residents too and you feel comfortable at once It is one of the few places where breaking down and having to stay eight extra hours was a pleasure!

I have been staying at College Farm many times and always, when I am planning my next journey, I am already full of anticipation.Once you get closer, you drive through richly structured woods, where you might see a muntjac or long horn cattle, then a park opens and you see the beautiful place where Katharine, the owner and manager of the College Farm, expects you. The furnishing of Katharines home is carefully assembled and you immediately feel at home when you enter the house. Katharine is an exceedingly kind and courteous landlady who makes you feel welcome.

My friends and I had the most wonderful stay at College Farm! We were treated like members of the family, llamas/alpacas/cats/chickens included, and nothing was too much trouble. College Farm is in such a beautiful setting, quiet and peaceful with lovely country and woodland walks all around. Breakfast was a particular highlight - local bacon and eggs from the garden all in a superb wood-panelled dining room. Can’t wait to return.

We couldn’t have had a more enjoyable stay at this fabulous home. We were treated like members of the family and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely love seeing the hens, Lamas, Alpacas and sheep and wandering around the estate. Such a beautiful location, so quiet and peaceful. Excellent breakfasts and superbly comfortable beds. Everything so clean and immaculate in our room and bathroom. Can’t wait to return.
