You should know
- Arabella and Hugo live at the back of the property with a separate entrance
- Bedrooms and bathrooms are all on the first floor and there are no showers
- Dogs are welcome but must sleep in the stable kennels
A glorious place to wind back the clock and relax, the views alone will have your pulse slowing. The lodge is a deeply traditional and much-loved family home, and Arabella will treat you to delicious produce, much from the surrounding land. There are walks from the door – Georgian gem Ludlow is walkable – and for a truly unique experience, saunter down for a dip in crystal-clear spring water. A rare place indeed.

We had a wonderful peaceful two night stay in the fantastic Salwey Lodge. The farm to fork Dinner was super delicious and Arabella accommodated my partners challenging dietary habits with ease, and breakfast was great too. The house is stacked with history and full of antiques and Arabella took care of all our needs. The fire was lit in the fine wood panelled sitting room each evening Hugo taught us how to play backgammon, and there were no intrusive televisions at all which was great! Fantastic views and an interesting walk down to the plunge pool. Will hopefully come back in the summer.
