What a privilege to stay in such a beautiful place. The self contained space suited me perfectly, having the breakfasts left for me. Thoughtfully and beautifully decorated rooms, lovely breakfasts and a great location to use as a base for walking on the South Downs and exploring Lewes. Highly recommended

A lovely self-contained apartment with a fascinating history. A huge comfy bed. A delicious breakfast with freshly made bread and cakes. Breakfast in bed - what a treat! Shirley was so welcoming with information about the area and lending walking maps. Ditchling is a lovely village, we ate in the Bull, the White Horse and the Green Wellie cafe and they all come highly recommended. A great place to escape from reality and re-charge.

This self contained apartment has everything you need. Comfortable beds, modern bathroom, a small kitchen if you want to eat in (though the local pubs are excellent) and nice views over the rear garden. Tea & coffee as well as fresh milk (plus healthy cereal) are all supplied and there is even a Cookie jar! The breakfasts, left outside the door each morning, are superb. Fresh fruit salad, eggs to scramble or boil, fresh bread or croissants and fruit juice. Sets you up perfectly for walking the nearby South Downs Way. Shirley is an excellent host, friendly & informative. A lovely place!

Such a beautiful place to stay. The decoration is lovely. Breakfast delivered to our door was unbelievable (fresh bread, fruit and yogurt, organic eggs). We didn't want to leave. Shirley is charming and welcoming. We would definitely recommend to a friend.
