The Old Swan

We love staying in this gorgeous house in Sherston. The house has so much character. It is comfortable and spacious. It sleeps 8 very comfortably with 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped. Sherston is a beautiful village in beautiful surroundings. Easy parking. Lovely walks all around. The best bit is stepping next door to The Angel coffee shop for breakfast or walking across the road to The Rattlebone pub for supper or a game of boules! The hosts are very helpful and get back to any questions very quickly. 5 stars all round!

First time in the Cotswolds and we loved it, Sherston was lovely and quiet with a great village pub and good local shop with everything we needed. Great cycling routes and also lots of walks with the dogs. Won't be our last visit.

We had the most wonderful stay in Sherston. The house is a quintessential Cotswold cottage, and exactly what we were hoping for. Rupert is an excellent host, and communication was quick and easy. The bedrooms are all surprisingly large, and the kitchen was very well equipped. I am from the Cotswolds and knew exactly what to expect. For others unfamiliar with homes of this age, the stairs may be a surprise, as they are quite steep and winding, and require care navigating. Overall we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this home. Thank you Rupert.

A perfect home for Christmas and New Year’s! We stayed at Rupert’s house over Christmas and New Year with six people and a dog, and we had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we felt integrated into the village life – everyone we met was incredibly friendly. The village itself has a lot to offer: the cosy pub was a lovely spot to gather, and the café right next door to the house is highly recommended. The small shop in the village was surprisingly well-stocked, and we found everything we needed. We would highly recommend the old swan and would love to return some day!
