The Experience

Interiors are designed to bring the outside in: chandeliers crafted from heather, tables made from estate oaks, stone floors and stripped doors. It’s instantly calming and relaxing. A beautiful south-facing sitting room with curved sofas is a superb space for convivial evenings; downstairs find a games room with snooker, a juke box and airstream bar. A cinema room will please on rainy days.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy and sumptuously understated: linen throws, waffle robes, wooden floors and fluffy white towels; gorgeous views and light flooding in through sash windows. The state-of-the-art kitchen is a pleasure to cook in with its wonderful stained glass window. You can order meals to heat up or a chef to do the lot and you eat by a magnificent stone hearth.

Balmy evenings on the terrace with a cocktail will be a joy; wander to the lake for a dip from the jetty, commune with nature, ease into the sauna, feel lucky.
