The Experience
Cosy, not cavernous but a series of imaginatively curated living spaces playfully linked by herringbone flooring – pink brick downstairs, dark oak up. The big velvet sofa in front of the wood-burner is the place to be with a book when the weather isn’t playing and you’re left an initial supply of logs in the winter months. Cooks will rejoice in the kitchen where everything has been thought out so well and you’ll find plenty of basics for cooking, along with fresh eggs and local sourdough bread.
Two double bedrooms are extremely well dressed, have lovely views through large sash windows and pretty fabrics on headboards and windows. You’ll sleep soundly in the peace and a short walk will give you glorious views of the Firth of Forth along with three Highland cows.
Balmy summer evenings can be spent on the terrace with a barbecue and firepit and the lawn is big enough for sprawling (you’ll find a picnic rug) or games.

We’ve stayed at Banchory Farm a few times now and always enjoyed it. It feels like a home away from home 😊 The Grieves in particular is unique and incredible in terms of the interior design. The Banchory Farm is such a wonderful place overall and soo memorable.
