The Experience
This quirky Grade II-listed hall was built in the 16th century and remodelled in the Georgian style in 1820, and is surrounded by gardens, ancient woodland and a lake.
Natasha and Quentin live in a separate part of the house so are usually on hand if you need anything. Settle next to the wood-burner in the drawing room and pop some jazz on the record player (Quentin has quite the collection) or browse through the books and games. Breakfast is served at a communal dining table and is always made from seasonal, organic and locally sourced fare, including eggs from the resident chickens.
The nearest beaches are Aberporth and Tresaith, with the National Trust beaches of Mwnt and Penbryn also close by (all are superb); walk the Ceredigion Coast Path and you may see dolphins, porpoises and seals. There are good restaurants in Cardigan, a 15-minute drive away, and The Cherry Picked Farm Shop, which sells top-quality local goods, is a 10-minute drive.

Noyadd Trefawr is a hidden treasure. Tucked away on its own small estate with a lake and bluebell woods, is a home full of immaculate detail. We had the most comfortable bed, luxurious bedding and stylish bathroom. There are countless suggestions from Natasha and Quentin for walks, cafes, restaurants and sites to visit. And when we returned from these, we were able to relax in absolute tranquility. Just what we ordered.

Noyadd Trefawr is a stunning house, elegantly furnished and utterly tranquil although conveniently near a beautiful coastline and many bars and restaurants. Our room was supremely comfortable with many thoughtful additions. Breakfast was a feast, the guests' sitting room was such a lovely place to relax in and the hosts couldn't have been more welcoming. We'll definitely be returning.

We received a really warm welcome when we arrived at this superb characterful house. Our immaculate room was stylishly appointed and spacious with a fab en-suite shower room complete with underfloor heating. We spent the evening relaxing in the large and very comfortable sitting room listening to a selection of Quentin’s excellent vinyl collection whilst sampling some excellent but moderately priced wines by the fire. Breakfast was equally good. I have spent 40 years travelling the world and based on my experience I can unequivocally recommend this place and hope to return again.

Location
The neighbourhood
You're welcome to explore the extensive grounds, which are quiet and with no light pollution: spot red kites, swallows, swifts, kingfishers, owls, foxes and otters. The house is set in gorgeous countryside and near to some truly spectacular beaches, cycle paths and coastal walks.
Local points of interest from Natasha & Quentin Penrhys-Evans
- New, delicious food places keep popping up nearby. Try Yr Hen Printworks, Crwst, Bara Menyn, and Pizzatipi in Cardigan and Tafell a Tan (the best pizza) in Llangranog. The Harbourmaster is further up the coast. The best pysgod a sglodion is also close
- Tresaith with its golden sand, The Ship Inn pub and spectacular waterfall is our favourite beach and is only 10 minutes away. From Newport up to Ynyslas above Aberystwth, we have a plethora of amazing sandy beaches to choose from. Bring a bucket and spade!
- The Ceredigion Coastal Path is stunning. Walk from Mwnt, Llangranog or Cymtudu to enjoy turquoise seas (on a sunny day), wild swim in a secluded beach and look out for dolphins and porpoises.
- Noyadd Trefawr makes a perfect location for a honeymoon, special wedding or other anniversaries. We have a number of carefully designed celebratory packages on our website. We are also able to cater for house party weekends - email us directly to discuss.
- The Teifi river gives beautiful walks as it meanders down through mid-Wales and opens into the estuary at Cardigan. Walk quietly and you will spot kingfishers and dragonflies. The more adventurous can swim, paddle-board or kayak their way along.
- Dylan Thomas based LLareggub in 'Under Milk Wood' on New Quay which is 20 minutes' drive away. Explore his various drinking dens and listen the voices of UMW. Or, drive to Laugharne (45 mins drive) to see Thomas' later home and his writing shed.

Introducing
Natasha & Quentin Penrhys-Evans
Natasha spent her childhood in Brecon and Radnorshire before moving to study in England. She worked as a journalist, fashion editor, antique collector and, more recently as an English teacher before moving back to Wales. As a child she would often spend summer holidays by the coast in Ceredigion. Quentin, previously a journalist and then a media consultant, has a passion for jazz music.
Utterly delightful place to stay, impeccably decorated and designed, in a stunning location. Our stay was an absolute joy, with a delicious breakfast, spot-on local recommendations and adorable hosts. Highly, highly recommended.
