Maison Montruf

Staying at Maison Montruf for two weeks was a true pleasure! The home is so well appointed, comfortable, and well situated in the Dordogne. Best of all is its' wonderful owners, Paul & Charlotte, who live on an adjoining property. They graciously offer assistance when asked, always going above and beyond expectations, however, they are never intrusive. As they live here year round, they know the local businesses, travel sites and restaurants and are always available to assist. We felt welcome from day 1. Stargazing at night was an added, unexpected treat.

This was our 3rd visit to Maison Montruf which probably tells you all you need to know!! The house is stunning, with every detail thought of for every member of the family, from pool toys and games to books & outdoors activities, there is something for everyone. The house and gardens are beautifully kept and are incredibly well appointed. The location means there is so much to see and do right on your doorstep, with lovely restaurants in the village. Paul & Charlotte really know what they are doing when it comes to hosting and are accessible as much as needed whilst respecting your privacy.

Fabulous, comfortable, spacious, house, extremely well-equipped, large, attractive garden, and lovely pool. Peaceful location, not over-looked, with wonderful views over the valley. Charming owners who will do whatever they can to make your stay more enjoyable, but who never intrude. Definitely 5*.

Absolutely beautiful part of the world and an incredibly beautiful place to stay. The pool was a godsend as the weather was extraordinarily hot this year. Paul and Charlotte are wonderful hosts, providing useful and interesting information about what to do in the local area, on hand if you need them but equally very discreet and whist staying close by you would never know they were there. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.
