The Experience
Not the most beautiful street in town for this laid-back summer beach pad, but don’t be put off – once you’re in it’s fine. It’s an unusual layout: the tiny house is one large room with a double bed, little kitchenette (microwave, small fridge, air fryer) table and chairs, a separate double bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower over.
Then it’s out onto the patio for a rainwater dip pool, barbecue and sink, steps up to a flat roof for sunbathing and the annexe. Here you’ll find the sitting room with comfy seating, pretty fabrics and another double with bathroom (again a bath with shower over). Art is original, furniture is fine.
Prepare simple lunches in the kitchenette or sizzle something on the barbecue – at night fairly lights will glitter. Spend long sandy days on the delightful beaches, cycle along quiet paths through pine forest, visit the food shops and market of bustling Montalivet and bring your spoils home.

Location
The neighbourhood
Jane runs her antique shop four days a week with coffee and cake – everything will be for sale including all in the Tiny House. Vendays is a lively village with a daily market, restaurants, three bakeries and an excellent wine cave. You can cycle to the beach through forest and marshes or drive ten minutes for surfing – lessons can be booked for teens. Taste wines, visit little oyster ports.
