- The sheer theatricality and comfort of the house – the owner is a lighting designer and has let his imagination soar
- All the watery activities on the river – canoe and boat hire, wine festivals and fishing
You should know
- There's no designated parking but plenty on the street or in the square – it's very easy to come without a car
- Three floors mean lots of stairs which might be a problem for some
This place is unique, a medieval townhouse with stage lighting, piped music, dramatic wall art, ultra-modern connectivity, right bang in the middle of a lively town to walk around and explore, I love it! The access to a train station means you can park the car and enjoy the ride to explore further afield. And South West France has such a lot to offer...

Sawday's Inspector
We stayed at the beautiful Tavereau French home .We could walk into the town enjoyed restaurants and shops.This house was beyond our expectations so tastefully furnished and an amazing large kitchen for socialising. Bedrooms with ensuite we particularly loved the attic bedroom with a four poster and the outside pool. We will definitely be staying again.
