The Experience

Mornings are a pleasure here – gather around the big wooden table with fellow guests and plan your day over homemade crêpes, cheese, charcuterie and an endless supply of coffee.

Explore Paimpol, watch bobbing fishing boats, get lost in the maze of streets and sample the local delicacy of Coco de Paimpol. After hunger has been satisfied head to Guilben and walk through the woods of Abbey de Beauport – the views out to sea are magnificent.

Restaurants are a ten-minute drive – ask Isabelle which ones promise perfect oysters and cracking wine lists. An evening in promises a gastronomical delight too – book ahead for one of Isabelle’s sumptuous cook-ups. Expect local lobster, lamb, oysters and seasonal vegetables. After a day immersing yourself in French culture the comfortable bedrooms are all you need – one has its own terrace.

Exquisite Kergroaz Maner! Isabelle & Philipe are such beautiful people showing thoughtfulness to their guests ensuring they are happy. The Maner is so stylish in every way, beautiful gardens, and rooms plus exceptionally clean. We had dinner at the Maner and it was delicious, beautiful local produce accompanied with local wines! Isabelle is a superb chef. Highly recommend a stay here, a brilliant find. The Maner is also very close to lots of interesting places. Thank you Isabelle & Philipe

We had a lovely 3 days with Isabelle and Philippe - most gracious hosts. We were greeted at our car with a very warm welcome. Dinner that evening was truly exceptional and incredibly good value - thank you Isabelle. Philippe was a very helpful guide to the area and helped us immensely in finding a location for our COVID test prior to our return. They also graciously accommodated us by providing breakfast very early one morning. We would recommend enjoying the hot-tub too! We left feeling well looked after - truly a special place. We will return!

Wonderful B&B! We were absolutely delighted by every aspect of our stay. Isabelle and Philippe are, truly, the perfect hosts : never invasive, but always happy to talk about the renovation of their lovely house or give tips on what to visit and where to eat in the area. Our stay was sprinkled with special attentions : a chilled bottle of Champagne in our room for my birthday, oysters for dinner and breakfast (I'd mentioned how much I love them), pastries in a doggy bag in the afternoon... The room was spotless clean, well-heated (geothermy!) and oh so quiet. Perfect weekend!

I was greeted with a huge smile from Isabelle, who led me, dodging the autumn rain-showers, to the door of the manor house. We entered into the cheerful & warm dining room with a roaring fire under the enormous granite fireplace, a huge table dressed ready for a meal with pretty china & coloured glass-ware. This room then opened out into the salon with another wood burner lit & waiting for me to curl up on the comfy sofa’s. It felt both homely and relaxing. Bedrooms were a delight and I was sorry not to have shared an meal with Isabelle & Philippe, which promised to be a gourmet experience!

Introducing

Isabelle Leger

Isabelle's welcome is as big as her smile. A long-held dream to open a B&B, the care and attention in restoring this 17th-century property is clear from the moment you arrive, with log fires in both sitting rooms and deep sofas. Isabelle and her partner Philippe are on hand to share hiking trails, fishing spots and their favourite restaurants.
