The Experience
As well as a smart master bedroom with an en suite shower and a well-dressed queen-sized bed, there are a couple of singles up on the mezzanine. The downstairs is open plan with exposed brickwork and beams, a barn-style sliding door and comfy leather sofa. Materials are natural – ceramic floor tiles, wicker and wood, so the feel is light and homely.
A narrow, galley-style kitchen is well equipped for rustling up holiday meals, but breakfast is on offer twice a week for an extra charge and delivered to your door: fresh breads and pastries from the local bakery, homemade jams, yogurts and a baked treat. You can eat indoors or out in the pretty garden with views of an orchard. Here you’ll find a lawn, patio, barbecue and sun loungers. There’s also a wood-burning sauna hidden in the woods.
Walk 2km along a country path to Châtelaudren for a bakery, lovely bar where the owners make their own beer, and a botanical café offering meals.

Location
The neighbourhood
Walk and cycle along quiet roads, or find footpaths. You can walk 3km to Plélo where you'll find an excellent farm-to-table restaurant called Au Char à Bancs – they have daily specials and are famous for their incredible crêpes and galettes. You're 20 minutes from Saint-Brieuc and 10-15 minutes from a choice of beaches – Binic is the closest. Explore the island of Bréhat – a lovely day trip.
Local points of interest from Liz & Corentin Lamour
- Châtelaudren is a lively village with a vibrant town centre, local shops, cafés, bakeries and restaurants such as Chez Georgette and L’Auberge du Goëlo, a weekly market, a lake and all daily amenities just 2km away.
- 'Le Char à Bancs' is our family's farm-inn restaurant with a farm to fork philosophy, beautiful gardens and potager, a vintage shop and a valley to walk with lots of swings, slides, zip wires and nets in trees for kids.
- Binic is a lively port town with a marina, beaches and seafront cafés. Fishing boats, coastal walks and local shops create a relaxed atmosphere, while restaurants and markets make it a vibrant stop on the Goëlo coast.
- Paimpol centres around its harbour and lively weekly farmers’ market, where local produce fills the streets. Cafés line the quays, sailing boats come and go, and footpaths link the town to the Abbey of Beauport and the coast.
- Just a short boat ride from the mainland, Bréhat feels like a change of pace. No cars, only footpaths and bikes, pink granite cliffs, flower-filled lanes, small coves for swimming and cafés by the water for an easy island day.
- Saint-Malo is all about spectacle: the sea pulls back to reveal vast beaches and walkable islands, waves crash against the ramparts, and by evening Intra-Muros hums with terraces, sea air and the feeling of being somewhere unforgettable.

Introducing
Liz & Corentin Lamour
Liz and Coretin met when she worked as a student in his parents’ restaurant. Having discovered a mutual love of food, gardening and DIY, they have poured their passion into the eight cottages that make up the hamlet (each is named after a family member who once lived there). Liz is on site to answer any questions and they are mines of information about the local area.
