The Experience
Enter a gorgeous open-plan living space with exposed stone walls – the feel is authentic yet very comfortable. Light pours in, the sofa and chairs are inviting and there’s a dining table and kitchen overlooking the garden. On cooler evenings you can light the wood-burner and settle in with a good book. The master bedroom is separated from the living area by a glazed roof with thick curtains for privacy.
Upstairs is a mezzanine bedroom with a stair gate in place then a sweet single up in the eaves with a large Velux and parquet flooring. The kitchen has a good oven and all the kit you need, but you can have a breakfast hamper delivered with freshly squeezed orange juice, baguette, butter, jams, pastry or homemade crêpes, yogurts and fresh fruit.
In the grounds there’s a communal ping-pong table, swings for children and you can say hello to the free-range chickens. Ten minutes away: the bakery, shops, the market, beaches, golf, restaurants and hiking trails.

Louison is an immaculate, very well equipped gîte set in beautiful grounds and only minutes away from the coast. Valérie and family were very welcoming and helpful. Their petit-déjeuners were excellent and if you decide to have the seafood platter you will be in for a treat. It had to be a short stay for us but it was a lovely, peaceful place to relax and unwind.
