The Experience

Tucked into peaceful Breton countryside and only a mile from the sea, this turreted 14th-century manor is a glorious setting for family holidays. Grand salons feature high ceilings and antique furniture; there’s a piano in the library and plenty of board games and books for rainy days. The vast kitchen has a range cooker, a huge American fridge, and everything you need to feed hungry hordes.

Upstairs, three generous double bedrooms boast sweeping views and en suite bathrooms (including one with a fabulous claw-foot bath). Perfect for children, the huge dormitory under the eaves sleeps nine comfortably and has its own bathroom.

Gather around the long trestle table in the courtyard garden for relaxed al fresco meals. Sweeping lawns provide space to run and play, while bikes, swings, and outdoor games keep everyone entertained. Best of all, the manor has horses and a donkey who are happy to meet guests – you’re welcome to bring carrots for them.
