The Experience
If you watched Nichola and Roy on Channel 4’s Great B&B Challenge, you’ll know they were worthy winners – modest, unassuming, wholly unpretentious – and they’ll look after their guests with much kindness. Find a super sitting room/reception with an honesty bar, a stylish vintage sofa, a wood-burner and a TV for rainy days – there’s also a snug library for a quiet read.
You’re greeted with something home baked, then it’s upstairs to a suite and three pretty bedrooms with antique beds, spanking new mattresses and views over the village or garden. Wake to hearty breakfasts at the big wooden table or in the garden on fine days: homemade yogurt with berries, homemade jams and marmalade, artisan baguettes, boiled eggs, good strong coffee. Nichola and Roy serve dinner every night too – three courses with wine included.
There’s much to do nearby and some superb walks and cycles, but you could just stay here and enjoy a bit of R&R in the peace.

We think you'll love
- Feeling right at home and not having to creep around on eggshells – Nichola and Roy throw open their door to you, then leave it open
- The home-baked treats on arrival and every day of your stay – it's worth staying in for supper too
- Borrowing the free bikes and heading off for a picnic by the lake, or some fishing for trout
You should know
- All the bedrooms are upstairs. The suite has an en suite but the other three share a bathroom – perfect for families or close friends
- Breakfast is plentiful continental but for an extra charge you can have an Ulster Fry – a heart attack on a plate
- There's plenty of hot water but it takes its time to get to the showers – be patient!

Introducing
Roy & Nichola
Nichola and Roy gave up their old lives in England to win this wonderful house in a TV competition. They're still pinching themselves, but that's because they're so modest they didn't expect to win. They're absolutely the right hosts for this quiet village, Roy is happy to collect and drop off at Limoges Airport, they both cook well and they love people – hosts don't get much better than this.
