Ferme de la Ruette, Cauvicourt

Beautifully quiet farm/manor house, a few minutes from Caen. Wonderful setting, and great views. Hosts could not be more friendly or considerate. Fantastic value for money.

We had a most delightful two night stay at La Ruette - a beautiful french farmhouse. Issabelle and her family are delightful - the most wonderful of hosts. The accommodation is lovely. The breakfasts are sublime - fantastic french bacon and eggs. We will be back. Thank you.

We had a lovely visit to La Ruette, a beautiful farm house and B&B. Isabelle and her family are the most welcoming, caring and helpful family you could ever wish to meet. The accommodation is charming and typically french - quite refreshing... Isabelle's breakfasts are wonderful - her french version of bacon and eggs is sublime. We hope to visit again very soon.

What an absolutely stunning location. Isabelle and her family were so welcoming and instantly made us feel welcome and at home. The location was brilliant if you want to explore the area, especially if you’re interested in visiting for the D-Day history and there are lots of beautiful, moving and interesting locations within an hours drive of Cauvicourt. A highly recommend bed & breakfast location and one which i would definitely love to return to! Thank you to Isabelle and her family.

Great bed and great breakfast! However, what really makes a stay sensational is the host - in this case, Isabelle; Flexible on arrival and was very sweet to my 8 year old son (gave him a football and a goal to play with) and gave me a liquid refreshment. We had to be up early - 6:00 to get the 8:30 ferry and Isabelle got up early to make us breakfast which was incredible - Cooked eggs from the farm / warm Croissant / yoghurt / fresh juice ...absolutely impeccable! Sawdays was invented for places like this and I couldn't give it a better review as it was so good!
