The Experience

You will like Valérie, lively mother of four, and her quietly refined house. And after breakfast at the big guest table you will want to stay forever. Over home-grown eggs and homemade jams, cake of the day, cheeses, charcuterie and fruit kebabs, conversations flourish, friendships bud. Outside, limewash walls stand among lavender-edged lawns and orchards, kindly Flaubert the Leonberger ambles, cows graze; inside are grey woodwork and gorgeous rooms, superb beds, handsome rugs on parquet floors, fine antiques and touches of brocante. Monet’s ineffable gardens are just down the hill.
