The Experience
The cottage has its own kitchen so you can cook for yourselves if you want, but Beatrice’s breakfasts are worth getting up for: local cheeses, homemade jams, homebaked bread and cakes. Enjoy it at leisure overlooking mature trees and lots of sculptures, retire to lawns and terraces with a book, or float in the large pool – feel free to come and go as you please.
You’re within walking distance of St-Paul-de-Vence,(25 minutes and a good steep climb) or La Colle-sur-Loup (15 minutes) yet you’re in a quiet residential area surrounded by a high hedge so it’s all very peaceful and the garden is filled with birdsong. The closest beach is a 15-minute drive and Beatrice provides beach toys.
The shaded terrace is the place to be on a hot day or for an apéritif before you head out to bars and restaurants in St Paul – you’ll find plenty of choice and the owner recommends Le Tilleul for excellent local dishes and a very French atmosphere.

Location
The neighbourhood
There are some grand walks along the Loup river and also around the local villages or on the beaches - some of which are dog friendly in summer, all accept dogs from September to March. St-Paul-de-Vence, one of the oldest medieval towns on the Riviera is well known for its modern and contemporary galleries too. The nearest stone beach is Cagnes-sur-Mer and there is a sandy one at Antibes.
Local points of interest from Béatrice Ronin Pillet

Beatrice, who lives in a separate house in the grounds, has been running this place for many years, after a career in 'hôtellerie'. She loves having guests and is a mine of information about the local area, so do ask.
