The Experience
A quiet medieval village with twisting streets and the pretty river Roubion running through it. There are Roman remains, a super bakery and some smart restaurants, all within walking distance. The shared sitting room has comfy seating, the dining room has a large table and plenty of board games, and you’re welcome to use the kitchen – it’s a friendly sort of place.
Bedrooms, two with their own terrace, are generous in size, each with a small drinks fridge and gorgeous en suite bathrooms with Japanese loos. Wake to breakfast (which is at an extra charge) either inside or on the top floor terrace: tuck into cheese, seasonal fruit, charcuterie, pastries and homemade jams while you gaze at the views of the Drôme hills and mountains.
There are good walks and cycles (on your own or guided), bikes to hire with safe storage, and massages can be booked. Return to the pretty walled courtyard and rest under the fig tree listening to birdsong and the tinkling fountain.

Location
The neighbourhood
There are three restaurants in the village – try simple pizza, Les Voyageurs or Michelin-starred Château Lavandin. 1km away you'll find Château Les Oliviers de Salettes and Le Grill de la Bastide. Grignan with its famous château (glorious roses in spring) is 20 minutes away and also has a night music festival in the summer months. The Forêt de Saoû is 25 minutes by car, as is Crest and its castle.

Introducing
Isabelle & Pascal Nury
Isabelle and her husband Pascal were born in this area. They went away to university in Grenoble then returned as early retirees to create this chambre d'hôtes. They love meeting people and helping them to enjoy a wonderful holiday here. They're also keen on sustainability with an air pump and VMC double flux, along with recycling, composting and sourcing local food.
