The Experience
Come for the experience and the fascinating history of the Caterini family and their stunning castle. From the top of the turreted tower there are 360-degree views across three regions – Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. The vast 250-hectare estate includes woods, gardens with olive trees, horse paddocks and trails for rides around the property – this is an internationally renowned equestrian centre.
Interiors all differ in size, but have lovely family antiques, paintings and prints, comfortable beds, small kitchens and outdoor spaces with tables. Join B&B guests for breakfast (fresh, local ingredients and delicious cake) on the veranda. Take part in a cookery class to learn the secrets of the classic dishes you’ll eat at lunch and dinner.
Find a tennis court, mini football field, trampoline and indoor games; take riding lessons, rent an e-bike and explore, ask for a massage or yoga lessons, head to Lake Bolsena for water sports and swimming. Walks and cycles from the house will be sublime.
