You should know
- There are quite a few stairs to negotiate unless you choose the ground-floor apartments
- You can't walk to shops, so if you want to fully self cater you'll have to bring what you need (Grotte di Castro is 4km) at least for the first day
- You need to pre book the restaurant, which has a fixed menu
