The Experience

Once a monastery, the villa retains a vividly peaceful atmosphere – now with 19th-century antiques and some very modern sculptures, installations and striking paintings by owner Bruno. It’s a pleasure to walk in. The beautiful living room has comfortable sofas and chairs and its original working fireplace – a lovely spot for a chat or simply to read. Next door is an art gallery and Bruno will happily give you a tour.

Suites come in different sizes but all have king-size beds, gorgeous colours, fine linens and dreamy views – some overlooking the pretty inner garden and others out to the countryside. You can even choose from a pillow menu (down or synthetic) so you’ll be sleeping soundly.

Breakfast – indoors at the grand table, out in the garden or in a basket delivered to your door – includes Italian coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and jams. Walk it off on the Blue Way, a serene natural trail leading in about an hour to Cambiano, or further along to Chieri.
