The Experience
Deep in the Valpolicella hills (but conveniently close to the motorway), this huge 18th-century farmhouse has been stylishly converted into six light-filled apartments, each with its own private entrance. Kitchens have everything you need (hob, microwave, kettle, coffee machine), beds are pillowy-perfect with Egyptian cotton sheets, bathrooms are spacious and en suite, and every room has a view over vineyards and olive groves.
Come alone or with a group (the penthouse sleeps eight), you can be as private or as gregarious as you want. There are plenty of communal areas to choose from – a pretty courtyard for al fresco dining, a shady verandah for relaxing with a book, and a shared lounge with an honesty bar.
Outside, the roomy garden has a gazebo and a swing under the trees and there’s a lovely swimming pool and sun loungers if you want to catch some rays. Taste wine in the stoned cellar.
