The Experience
A dazzlingly white collection of farm buildings, restored to perfection without a hint of pretention and with roots firmly embedded in the very rural landscape. Two spacious suites and four studio apartments (with their own outdoor spaces) are designed to allow guests to unwind – light, airy and with high ceilings, calming colours, a minimalist vibe. Beds are well dressed and you have pillow choices, bathrooms have sprightly showers with plenty of hanging space.
There are communal areas indoors and out for reading, playing games, or simply finding a quiet spot for a snooze. Snacks can be ordered in advance and served by the pool but breakfasts should set you up for most activities: fresh pastries, eggs from a neighbour, homegrown oranges, figs, almonds and pomegranates.
Walks from the door can be led by the owner, or you can set off along trails through lush countryside. Enjoy a myriad of stars as evening falls, find deep peace.

Location
The neighbourhood
You arrive up a rustic, slightly uneven track so the feel is remote and there are uninterrupted views of the surrounding hills and the sea. But there are shops, restaurants and a train station an easy drive and Faro airport is only 15 minutes by car. Just 1km away is a traditional Portuguese café, and Alberto gives you a digital guide to the area so you can make the most of it.
Local points of interest from Alberto Pradella
- We are a tribute to the soul of the Algarve. Uma Casa Rural preserves the architectural charm and traditional spirit of the region, offering our guests a genuine cultural immersion surrounded by our ancient olive and almond trees.
- Our connection to the land is tasted in every bite. From the fresh figs hand-picked in our "quintal" garden to homemade cakes and made-to-order eggs, our breakfast is a celebration of local flavours.
- In a fast-paced world, we offer the ultimate luxury: tranquillity. Our estate acts as a natural sanctuary where the only soundtrack is the breeze through the trees. For those looking to disconnect, breathe, and rediscover a slower pace of life.
- We pride ourselves on a warm, human, and personalised approach. Sharing "insider" tips about the hidden gems of Portugal, our hospitality is heartfelt and sincere.
- In Portugal, the Quintal is the heart of the home, and ours is no exception. It is a traditional backyard garden where time stands still, filled with the scents and colours of the Algarve: stroll among fig, almond, citrus, pomegranate and olive trees.
- Our philosophy is built on the Mediterranean way of life – reserving resources and respecting the local ecosystem. From our water-conscious gardens to our support for local producers.

Introducing
Alberto Pradella
Alberto and Anna are engaging storytellers, drawing on their diverse life experiences – from sailing to guiding tours in the African desert. Their passion for nature, sustainability, and Portuguese culture is evident throughout the guest experience. They, and their small staff, look after you beautifully while their cat Gino observes.
