The Experience
Come for a sophisticated seaside holiday with plenty of space for everybody. The sitting room has very comfortable sofas and an open fireplace for chillier days, but mostly you’ll be flinging those floor-to-ceiling glass doors open and spending your time on the terrace. You’ll find all the kit you need in the large kitchen where everybody can join in and you eat indoors, or out.
Cool off in the sparkling pool, spend afternoons dozing in the shade on loungers, work out or watch a film in the basement playroom, wander to the shop to restock, or enjoy a cold beer in one of the bars – there’s something for everyone to do here.
Sleep peacefully in well-dressed bedrooms (the master with high beamed ceilings and its own terrace) all with top-notch bathrooms. Walkers will be in paradise with several hiking routes along the coast offering stunning views all the way to Africa on clear days and with opportunities for wildlife spotting.

Location
The neighbourhood
There are activities galore from the door, at the beach and on many scenic trails for birdwatching and hiking. From April to October there are plenty of beach bars along the coast, perfect for drinks, snacks or relaxed meals by the sea. There's a super spa just 1km away and a very good restaurant the same distance. You can also take a boat trip to Morocco.
Local points of interest from La Casa Colonial
- The fabulous Roche beach (8kms of white sand) can be seen directly from the bedrooms.
- Arguably the best compromise between an Andalusian "cortijo" and a beach house.
- The outdoors is clearly something you will enjoy. Lounging under the warm sun and freshening up in the pool while listening to the birds and hearing the waves from the sea.
- Enjoy sunsets over the sea while enjoying your favourite wine.

Introducing
La Casa Colonial
The property is manged by Andrew Platt, who has run his letting agency since 2006. He lives in the same ‘urbanización’ with his Spanish wife, and they could not be more helpful. Their aim is to help others discover the wonderful and relatively undeveloped areas of Spain that he and his young family love.
