The Experience
You’re in the heart of old Jerez, all tiny cobbled streets and citrus-tree’d squares, parasoled diners and waiters keeping up with the orders. Once inside the Palacio, the big old door closed behind you, peace descends. All feels elegant, timeless and cool. The noble Patio Andaluz, furnished with sofas, antiques and grand piano, is light and airy, the marble pillars and gargoyles have been beautifully restored, and if you long for the sun, check out the sunloungers on the enclosed roof terrace; there’s a lift to get you there. As for the apartments, they’ve been created from scratch – just the odd alcove or shutter remains. All are minimalist and practical, with fitted wardrobes and extra pillows, smart furniture on wood-floors. Find microwaves, nespresso machines, orange-squeezers and washing machines, air con and double glazing and bathrooms you cannot fault. Golf is a mile away, Puerto Santa Maria and its beaches is not much further – and all those famous bodegas. A delight to stock up daily in Jerez’s market, its jostling stalls piled high with huge ruby-red tuna and dazzling produce.

Very well presented apartment in carefully refurbished "palacio". Located on a small plaza with the smell of the Jasmine and Orange tree's wafting through the windows. We stayed here for a week with our toddler and he (and we) loved it.
