Casa Verde

What a wonderful stay at Casa verde. We stayed with our children and they adored the house. The house was so well equipped with everything you need and beautifully decorated with plenty of room. Outside seating was lovely and plunge pool was a lovely touch. The village itself is charming and friendly with a good selection of places to eat on both sides of the river. We visited Cádiz, which was well worth the drive, allow plenty of time to explore and shop. Also visited Sagres in Portugal for surf and island de canela for beautiful beaches. What a find! Fantastic house (and lovely garden and plunge pool!) in a gem of a village, with lots to do and see. It was fun to have a mix of Spanish village atmosphere and restaurants, and just across the river, Portugese options, music and swimming. Wonderfully laid-back; everyone very friendly and relaxed, so we soon were too! In summary, we are delighted to have discovered a truly unspoilt corner of Andalucia and will be back for sure!

Casa Verde was the perfect setting for a three-generation family getaway. The house is spacious, with two terraces ideal for sunbathing and relaxing. We loved the outdoor shower and plunge pool during the midday heat, and the little motor boat gave us a fantastic way to explore Alcoutim and the Guadiana river. We played padel at the village court, swam in the local pool, and had great fun at the beach bar in Alcoutim. The zip line from Spain to Portugal was a highlight for all. A perfect mix of relaxation and adventure — we’d love to return!

We stayed with friends in this lovely spacious house which had everything we wanted. Outdoor cinema, plunge pool, sun bathing spaces, quiet places and a fantastic view over the river. A short walk to local cafe/bars or a hop on the water taxi over to Portugal. We had a great time and are busy planning a return.
