The Farmhouse at A Corner of Eden

A lovely Georgian farmhouse, set in a glorious valley with infinite sky and distant Cumbrian hills. The wood, the stone, the honesty of the structure create an enveloping, peaceful retreat. Layered on to this lovely house is deep comfort and more than a touch of luxury. The hunting lodge-style sitting room has a log fire, antlers, woollen sofas and the beautiful beamed dining room has seating for a small crowd. Richard and Debbie are the loveliest hosts – they live in an adjacent barn and have thought of everything, generously leaving fluffy robes, thick towels, Barbours and wellies to borrow, drinks in the honesty bar in the dairy and a welcome basket bursting with local goodies and champagne. The large range cooker will excite keen cooks and the not so keen can easily find their way to the pub across the fields or just ask Debbie to arrange for caterers to whip something up.
