The Hay Barn at Ferendone House

The Hay Barn in a superb place to stay. The accommodation is pleasantly furnished; the bedrooms are spacious; the beds are comfortable, and there is everything that you need to have a wonderful time staying in Jane Austen country. We definitely will stay here again without any hesitation.

Excellent modern accomodation - tastefully furnished and well-equipped - in a very peaceful location. A warm and friendly greeting from the owner, with a lovely welcoming hamper of local goodies, and on hand for any queries or problems (not that there were any!). Ideally located for Jane Austen fans who want to explore locations familiar to her, as well as for sampling the delights of the South Downs. Thoroughly recommended - A*.

We have had a wonderful week staying at The Hay Barn. Everything about the barn was perfect, it was spotlessly clean and equipped to the highest standard as well as being beautifully decorated and furnished. Susannah was a charming and most helpful host and the welcome hamper and complimentary bath products she provided were much appreciated. The Hay Barn is in a very quiet and peaceful location but it is within easy reach of lots of interesting places and has the added bonus of being only a ten minute walk from The Rose and Crown pub which serves excellent food. Highly recommended.

Everything in the property was of a very high quality and we would thoroughly recommend staying here. The owner had supplied extensive information and recommendations about the area which we found extremely helpful. The location is excellent and we really enjoyed our stay.
