The School House

The school house is a little gem of a property. The owners have kept some of the original features eg the stone floor in the dining room and original window in the bedroom, Which adds to its charm. We love the garden in the summer and exploring the area with Stamford being our favourite town. The local pub has a good choice of food and the staff always make us feel at home whilst we're staying in the school house. We find staying here so relaxing we've stayed may times and will keep going back to this little piece of heaven.

Beautiful cottage

One of the best holiday cottages we have been too. Nicely furnished, very clean, friendly welcome with fresh flowers and local produce. Location is great, too. We will certainly come back again.

This was our 3rd visit to the School House and once again we were delighted with the cottage. It’s very well furnished with all the extras you could hope for. The Cholmeley Arms, a few minutes away, serves really good, and large portions of, food and a good selection of beers and gins. Access to the Easton Estate gardens outside of “open hours” is a real bonus as you can explore to your hearts content. It’s definitely on our list of properties to visit again.

We booked a stay in The Schoolhouse as were visiting Lincolnshire for a wedding on 13th August. The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully furnished as if someone had just stepped out for a moment. Everything was there we could wish for, including bread, cake, wine and sloe gin! The fitting out of the kitchen was particularly good and we even went and bought some of the Sophie Allport china to bring home! The bed was extremely comfortable, and to have a separate dining room made a small one bedroomed cottage appear very spacious. A gem!
