The Experience

This Victorian terraced house overlooks the first landscaped park of its kind in south-east London; the pretty garden, designed by David’s father, is graced with majestic magnolias. Find a quirky mix of classic British furniture and oriental antiques. Picking up from his Chinese mother Anne, David has now taken on the B&B (helped by his housekeeper) and breakfast can be English or oriental. It’s a convivial, lived-in home full of family portraits, batiks and books; the Chinese ‘Peony’ room downstairs has a huge bed, bamboo blinds, kimonos for the bathroom. A short walk to buses and tubes… and blissfully quiet for London.
