The Brisley Bell

We enjoyed our stay very much, highlights were the delicious evening meals and breakfasts; the extremely comfortable beds, great bathrooms and lovely staff. We would definitely stay again

Very good pub

Fantastic food and service. Staff welcoming which is always a bonus after a long journey and there is a great pub atmosphere, a rarity now most pubs are basically restaurants. It's obviously popular and I'm not surprised we had a great time catching up with friends over lunch, then hung out by the fire all afternoon whilst making good use of their bar. I imagine it would be lovely in the summer too with such a fantastic beer garden. Both us and our friends had really spacious rooms that hit the mark of being both stylish and relaxing. Full marks Brisley Bell - we will return...

We visited for dinner with friends and this was the perfect choice. The bar was buzzy, the dining room had a luxe country pub vibe and there was a cosy fireside spot for after dinner drinks. We loved the varied menu with dishes that were so good i woke up thinking about them the next day (scallops and pea puree it's you!), and a great wine list to boot.

I totally forgot to write this review when we stayed last summer and then we went for lunch the other day to meet some friends I remembered why I wanted to put pen to paper, so to speak. This is one of our nations great traditional country pubs, that has modernised in all the good ways, whilst retaining (what I am only assuming is) the vibrant old character of the pub. They just know how to do things, everyone is super friendly, the food is delicious and both the pub and our room where just lovely.

What an AMAZING place! Spent two nights at the Brisley Bell for a reunion. The atmosphere in the pub was buzzing and the rooms better than many 5 star hotels we have stayed in . Could not recommend more highly. Definitely making a return trip! Food outstanding too and staff friendly and polite.

We couldn't fault our visit, as soon as we walked in we were greeted so warmly, the fantastic decor (in both the pub and the room) and the hubbub in the bar of locals just makes it - we settled in by the fire on arrival and stayed there all evening! The food lives up to all the awards they've won, a couple of extra pounds than your run of the mill pub, but worth every penny. We loved the rural location and explored both the North Norfolk coast and the local area where there are some great local walks. What a find... we'll be back soon.

My husband and I spent such an enjoyable evening and overnight stay at the Brisley Bell. We were just in need of a quiet night away and got so much more than we could have hoped for. Our room was somehow both luxurious and homely and after a few glasses of wine by the fire we enjoyed a fabulous meal! We left feeling calm, refreshed and ... well... happy and ready to face our kids again! I cannot recommend the Brisley Bell highly enough.

Wonderful stay. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, the pub has a great atmosphere and the service and food were superb.

What an amazing place this is. Hard to find fault really. The room was incredibly comfortable. The food was hearty and delicious. The buzz of the place created a special atmosphere. I hope I can return again soon.

The pub and dining rooms provide an elegant decor with the casual atmosphere of a country pub creating a comfortable place to relax by the fire or enjoy an excellent meal. The seasonal menu offers delicious options from quality soups, fresh fish, pate or hearty steaks. Our room was gorgeous with every detail provided including a bath tub in the room together with en suite bathroom. The gardens are cleverly designed with both spacious areas and quiet corners in which to enjoy a drink. We definitely plan to return soon. Highly recommended.

A very enjoyable stay. A beautifully decorated room. The bathroom is also lovely and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The pub has a great vibe and the food is excellent. Choice of breakfast in the morning was more exciting than most hotels. We were very sad to have to leave.

The Brisley Bell we found is a perfect location for a few days recouperation or a special occasion to return to and feel refreshed. We loved our sumptuous room, Hunny, with the enourmous cast iron bath and espresso machine. We would thoroughly recommend dinner at The Bell served with a smile by their delightful and professional team. We loved our stay and will definately return.

The Brisley Bell is another example of the enthusiasm and flair of a young couple turning round completely an almost derelict old country pub, to retain its original appeal but through careful additions to add modern style and attention to the needs of the guests, which are clearly paramount.
