The Courtyard

The house exceeded all of our expectations! It was beautifully decorated, charming and spotlessly clean. What really made it special were all of the unexpected touches. There was a bowl of fresh fruit waiting for us as well as pastry, coffee, tea and even milk and juice in the refrigerator. There were fluffy bathrobes in the closet and fresh cut flowers in the bedrooms. Our visit to Chichester happened to be over the hottest day of the year and while it did get warm upstairs, there were fans in the bedrooms which made sleeping comfortable. I would definitely book this house again!

We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous property. Everything was of a high standard and spotlessly clean. There were lots of thoughtful extras such a flowers in every room and juices, bread, butter and pastries in the kitchen. There were even some beach towels unfortunately not used because of the rain! In between showers we enjoyed the lovely walled garden with comfy seating for some meals. We definitely want to come back!

This is our third time staying in Rachel’s beautiful house. It’s a perfect spot when we travel from Australia to visit our friends and relatives. The house is comfortable and peaceful. The kitchen is generously stocked with delicious fruit, bread, butter, pastries, milk and juice on arrival. This is a quiet oasis in the middle of Chichester. Everything you need is just a short walk away. We have only visited in the summer but it must be very cosy with the wood burner in the winter. Looking forward to our visit next summer. Always sad to leave!

Highly recommended. The house was just perfect and so comfortable with everything we could want including a lovely log-burner for chilly evenings. As at The Clock House, everything was immaculate and Rachel's thoughtful touches everywhere (breakfast goodies, fruit, fresh flowers) just make this experience the best! We look forward to returning again.....

No 1 The Courtyard is the most beautiful, warm and welcoming place we have stayed away from home. Rachel has thought of everything you could want or need in this stunning location within walking distance of everything Chichester has to offer.

Rented The Courtyard House for a long weekend with family. The house is beautiful and the courtyard garden was the perfect place to relax at the end of the long day. Rachel was an excellent host, communicating regularly to check on our stay. The house is in the perfect location near all the shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.

A true gem. Rachel thought of everything up to the last detail. Everything was exceptional: the design of the interior, comfort, cleanliness, the breakfast...the list is endless. This is the place I would want to come to over and over again when I'm in Britain.

We are regular visitors to the Clock House and were very excited to be able to stay in Rachel's new venture... The Courtyard, and we were not disappointed. It met with all the high standards per the Clock House we were accustomed, however the Courtyard being a bit bigger, obviously gave Rachel even bigger opportunity to ramp it up to such a luxurious level and it was so amazing to be amongst such fineries, even the garden furniture in the quiet secluded Courtyard. Rachel always ops for fresh flowers in all rooms, and the standard of cleanliness is very high. Nothing is no problem for Rachel.

I’m nothing if not a sucker for a hidden gem - and that’s what this beautiful place feels like. A treasure. Everything from the tiny bricked lane approach to the fabulous finishes is perfect, it feels like staying in a 5 star hotel of your very own. Book this one, don’t bother looking around anymore. It’s worth every penny. Great location, perfect finishes, easy parking, great communication and every amenity you could need. Will definitely be back!

A delightful, quiet place, beautifully presented. Everything we could have wanted, and so very convenient for exploring the centre of Chichester and beyond. Parking was a bonus. We were blessed with good weather which made the lovely garden even more enjoyable. Rachel left us a really good welcome pack, but also took the time to see us in which we appreciated. Very clear information and nothing was too much trouble. We would happily stay there again.

What a gem hiding in Chichester. Above and beyond our expectations. Lots of treats waiting for us. Would love to go again.

Best rental I’ve ever stayed in! The house was absolutely beautiful.
