You should know
- Watch your head on the low beams in the eaves bedroom
- The cottage is over three floors so won't be easy for some
- Do bring up to two dogs at no extra charge – they are welcome in the Tap Room at the pub
You'll relax in this cosy period cottage, sleeping 6 on 3 floors, with beams & an open fire, and a large kitchen diner opening onto the cottage garden. There's an award-winning gastropub on the doorstep, and oodles of history in this hilltop village with elevated views & beautiful walks. You can even walk up Church Hill which is said to be the hill that the soldiers of The Grand Old Duke of York marched up!

We had the most fabulous stay in the pool villa in mid August. The quality of the villa is top class, beautifully furnished and completely private. Inside there are 2 super king bedrooms and a living room area with a bar. The hot tub and garden is lovely too. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone whether a young family (like ourselves) or two couples. The pub onsite is also great, serving a delicious breakfast that was included in the price. We ate our evening meals here too as it was so convenient and worth it.
