Applegarth House

We were lucky enough to stay at Applegarth House after our wedding ceremony at Gretna Green this summer, and what a lovely stay it was! Andrew and Kirsteen made us feel so welcome and the house was the perfect place to get ready. Being collected from the ceremony by Andrew in Molly the Morris was such a highlight! We were welcomed back to drinks in the beautiful gardens followed by a delicious dinner in the drawing room. The house is beautiful and luxuriously finished, with charming attention to detail. We would highly recommend Applegarth and very much look forward to a certain return trip!

We had a fantastic stay on our way to the north - Caithness. Ultra comfortable and delicious food. Plus a very warm welcome from Kirsteen and Andrew. Cannot recommend more highly .

We were looking for somewhere to stay to break up our journey to elope on the west coast of Scotland. Applegarth House looked perfect online and it didn't disappoint. Kirsteen and Andy were the perfect hosts. We had homemade scones and tea on the garden on arrival, flowers and a wedding card in the room, celebratory champagne before dinner, a delicious dinner cooked by Kirsteen, and Andy lit a fire pit in the garden so we could sit out and enjoy our commentary bottle of wine in the evening. The room and bathroom was simply beautiful too. And breakfast delicious. Thank you so much!

What a wonderful stay. Delicious food and terrific hosts. This idyllic corner of the borders is the best kept secret of the Scottish Tour and if there ever was a reason to put it firmly on the map, it must be the welcome and hospitality you receive at Applegarth.
