- The feeling of peace and calm – the only sounds you'll hear are birds, the river, the wind rustling in the trees, and occasionally an estate vehicle
- Walking straight from the door for miles and barely seeing another soul
You should know
- There's no bath – both en suites and the hut are shower rooms
- Although you can walk to a pub it's best to do a food shop before you arrive
- You can rent the cottage on its own or take the Shepherd's Hut too
If you want a beautiful relaxing place to stay, the woodland environment and location of this cottage has it in buckets! There are country views from your doorstep. The cottage itself has every comfort imaginable, a very well equipped kitchen, and cosy sitting room/dining area with a log burner to toast your toes at the end of the day. Would heartily recommend!

We recently stayed at this enchanting place for a relaxing half-term holiday. This was a perfect place. Everything about it was delightful, starting from the immediate environs, which are fairytale-like with the beautiful river, many wild birds (many, many pheasants) and lovely walks starting from the front door. The cottage is spacious and cool, extremely tastefully decorated and lacking no comforts. Sharon, our hostess, was unstintingly kind and helpful in so many ways. We could not recommend this place more warmly.
