- Having so much space inside and out and feeling totally private
- Being so close to good restaurants and places to visit
- Exploring historic towns and chateaux, buying fresh food from the market, eating out at the nightly food markets
You should know
- There are quite a few different levels inside and out so not ideal for those less mobile
- The owners live in a chalet in the grounds so are on hand if you need anything
- The upstairs bedrooms have quite low beams
This is a very special place indeed- the owners have transformed this lovely stone house into a perfect holiday home- with loads of places to gather, eat, cook, sleep and play. The surrounding countryside is unspoilt and peaceful and incredible walks start from the moment you take a step out the front door. The wonders of the Dordogne await you, if you can bear to leave the property.

Amazing..this is our 2nd time of stopping here at Maison Montruf & honestly I want to move in 🙂 It’s just beautiful, the house, the views, the surrounding area.. The house accommodates 8 very comfortably & there is everything you might possibly need throughout your stay.. This is a 5 ⭐️ plus more holiday destination & Paul & Charlotte are the most friendly, helpful hosts + Monty & Rufus…Just perfect!
