The Experience

Light pours into your open-plan living space through huge patio doors and the grandeur of the landscape will lure you onto the decking. It’s large enough for a couple of sofas and a comfy chair and it’s covered, so you’ll get shade from the sun or protection from the rain while you marvel at the views below you – at night they will twinkle.

Two master bedrooms with ginormous beds are on the first floor and they share an outdoor covered balcony with armchairs; there’s a twin up in the eaves which has two small armchairs and a sofa. All have lovely views and en suite bathrooms, chic and elegant with walk-in showers and plenty of space to put your stuff. You can have a barbecue in the pretty gardens with low dry stone walls, fragrant herbs and hidden benches but mostly you’ll be drawn to the decking.

A modern, practical kitchen is well organised and has an honesty wine fridge which might be irresistible – you’re left a bottle of fizz.

We think you'll love

  • That it is possible to walk into Beaune in half an hour – and yet so peaceful and calm here
  • The views over the vineyards from the decking and most of the rooms, the air conditioning throughout in summer, the sense of space and light
  • All the lovely walks through the vineyards or pine trees starting straight from the house

Reviews

This place is a 'wow'. Brush past the fragrant rosemary bushes, push open the little gate into the shady back garden, then head into the cool of the house where you're greeted by stunning views over the vineyards below. Enjoy long, lazy meals on a huge deck watching the sky change colour, then melt into the sumptuous, luxuriously vast beds and let your worries disappear. Just fabulous.
