An ancient house of varied rooms: a vast first-floor sitting room; a canopied bedroom; the snuggest of single rooms with views over the valley. The tower has a simply-furnished room on each of three floors: just perfect for teens. The lovingly polished antiques throughout the main house
and its original stone features offset the dated bathrooms and gloomy kitchen - just eat on the terrace.

We had a wonderful stay at Roubignol, enjoying the beautiful old house in its peaceful, rural grounds. To stay in a real family home, with antique furniture, masses of books etc, is always a great privilege. Our fortnight rotated through 100° heat, thunder storms, rain, sun, cool mists - and the thick-walled old house coped with it all. Lovely pool, too.
