The Experience

Welcome to a handsome redbrick 1780 townhouse with hacienda-style columns elegantly framing loggias set on two floors. Both are delightful spaces for breakfast on sunny mornings, evening aperitifs, and settling down with a good book. In front, a glittering lap pool with loungers on a large deck invites you to unwind.

Three bedrooms inside, and two family suites outside, layer pops of colour and soft lighting with original tiled or wooden floors and arched windows. Snazzy bathrooms complete the modern-chic picture. Everything here is generous: breakfast, prepared in the open kitchen, comes laden with homemade jams, local honey, fruit salad, delicate local patisserie, crêpes and cookies. Suppers are effortlessly whipped up, books and games abound, and massages can be arranged.

Wander into the attractive medieval town where you’ll find a vibrant Friday market. Stroll or pedal beside the river. Montauban is 20 minutes, Toulouse 30.

Reviews

You'll be warmly welcomed by the owners of this elegant and charming townhouse with fabulous architectural features – the real pièces de resistance are the two covered loggias on the ground and first floors overlooking the garden, both for guests to sit, read, contemplate. Fun quirky touches throughout! And it's just two minutes' walk to the centre of town.
