The Experience

An architect-designed eco house, whose beauty lies in its simplicity. And the garden is glorious, a blaze of colour and form – rock, Japanese and wild flower, carefully gauged scent and colour combos to attract bees, butterflies and other such beasties. Bright white bedrooms have their own entrance and are immaculate, paired with sparkling bathrooms. At the heart, an airy open-plan living room that guests share with owners Peter and Vincent whose nationalities (English and French) are reflected in their cooking – tasty regional and British. Birdwatching, markets and WWI cemeteries are nearby. Fresh, peaceful, convivial.

Reviews

Neil

Very comfortable overnight stay with an evening meal which was every bit as enjoyable as the excellent company of our hosts. We will certainly visit again, hopefully for longer.

Claire

This is our third visit which tells you how much we like it. We always get a warm welcome in this lovely home and really look forward to dinner. Congratulations to Peter and Vincent.

Steve

Only stayed the one night en route to the Cantal. Peter and Vincent both charming and attentive hosts Accommodation very well organised and comfortable. Evening meal delicious and good value for money as was the breakfast. Would readily recommend this to friends

Ann

We stayed here for one night and had a very enjoyable stay. Peter and Vincent made us very welcome and Vicent cooked us an excellent dinner. The house is very comfortable and the garden is beautiful. Everything was to a very high standard and we thorougly recommend it.

Claire

We've stayed here twice now, once on the way through to our son's wedding and once between Christmas and New Year. Both times we've had a brilliant time. The welcome is lovely, and the rooms are very comfortable. We've been in two different ones. Nothing is too difficult for Peter and Vincent and dinner is always very good. We recommend it to people regularly.

Introducing

Peter Clark & Vincent Caplier

Peter is from Suffolk and has lived in France since 2007, and Vincent is a French graphic designer and chief decorator of their apartment in Amiens - he chose the furniture and lithographs, which come from a collective in Berlin. They run their environmentally-responsible B&B, Les Mazures in the Baie de Somme, where they grow their own vegetables and breed their own hens.
