The Experience
Take the peaceful top-floor flat if you are a couple. Chat to Rosemary about her many-faceted traveller’s life while she serves you breakfast in the chiaroscuro living room or out on the pretty balcony in warm weather. She will head off to the boulangerie and bring back different choices of bread and pastries to go with your fresh fruit platter and homemade yogurt.
If you prefer privacy choose the modern 3rd-floor apartment with wonderful views onto the garden – but no balcony and breakfast is served in your own dining area. There are two great department stores in walking distance – Galeries Lafayette and Printemps (both with panoramic views from the top), and lots of independent boutiques in Montmartre.
Walk to the top of the steps of Montmartre, admire the Sacré Coeur cathedral, return to very comfortable apartments and a short stroll to good restaurants, cafés and bars.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rosemary’s apartment. It is in an ideal location, central but also very quiet, with excellent small shops nearby. Very easy to visit all the key sites, as well as places that are off the beaten track. Rosemary made us feel very welcome and was helpful throughout. We definitely hope to return to spend more time exploring Paris.

52 Clichy, Rosemary Allan’s Paris B&B is even better than advertised! Rosemary anticipates everything that a visitor might require. She herself is a fountain of information about Paris, the neighborhood, transportation, restaurants, and sightseeing. She is also very accommodating. I overslept the morning after my arrival. After a gentle knock, Rosemary announced, “Carol, it’s ten o’clock!” I still found a delicious breakfast prepared for me on the beautifully-set dining room table—an hour late! Bakeries, restaurants, and transportation are conveniently located. I highly recommend 52 Clichy.

At Rosemary's B&B we loved the comfortable bed, the lovely breakfast and I especially loved the round window in the bathroom. And not to forget the rest and quietness there is, even though you are really in the center of Paris. We did plan a visit to Paris to watch the Arc de Triomphe packed by Christo but that was cancelled by corona. The Musée d'Orsay was much less crowded then normally of course so we enjoyed our visit and felt really safe. La Campana in the museum is a beautiful place to have a dring or eat something with very friendly waiters.

Location
The neighbourhood
You're on the top floor of an elegant building from the turn of the century, in the heart of the 9th arrondissement. Visit the rue d'Orsel, lined with fabric shops, or two lesser-known but fabulous museums - Musée Gustave Moreau and Musée de la Vie Romantique which has one of the prettiest gardens in the city. You're a 20-minute walk from the Gare du Nord or the metro will take you there.
Local points of interest from Rosemary Allan
- An Award-winning image consultant, voted 'Best Image Consultant in Paris' last 3 years by Expatriates magazine, Rosemary can help you discover your best shades & styles or suggest personalised shopping trips to create your own Parisian style!
- Download Rosemary's FREE Paris guide to Living like a Local from her website and make your trip the best possible with all her helpful tips. Ranked in the Top 10 of all +/-9500 properties on TripAdvisor in Paris, take her recommendations!
- Best free museum is the Musée de la Vie Romantique, just steps away. It has a great outdoor café open mid-March to mid-Oct. Favourite museum is l'Orangerie, dip into Impressionist art plus THE waterlilies without being overwhelmed.
- In 5 mins you can walk to the base of Montmartre; sleep peacefully but be so close to the cafés, restaurants & little shops that make up this vibrant, local, artist community. Ask for my restaurant recommendations or get them from my website.
- Test the organic market on Saturday mornings at Place de Clichy or the huge local market at Barbès. Direct metro rides will take you to the most famous flea market Puces de Saint Ouen or the more manageable Puces de Vanves.
- Mobility problems? Wheelchair friendly B&B has no steps to climb and an elevator to the door. Need to be able to take a few steps to access the toilet and to get onto the balcony. If completely wheel-chair bound, '52 Clichy Apartment' is ideal.

Introducing
Rosemary Allan
Gentle, competent Rosemary has lived here for over twenty years and knows a million Parisian things. She’s still in love with the city and happily returns to the same squares and streets, always finding something new. She's a dab hand at helping guests make the most of their holiday even when they are bewildered by the language. She's also a talented, award-winning image consultant.
Spent 3 nights at 52 Clichy. Comfortable room and very central location. Rosemary prepared the most wonderful breakfasts and chose slightly different delights from the local bakery each day. Fresh fruit and yogurt, choices of so many teas and great coffee. Rosemary is a great host and was able to help with travelling to various sites and most efficient and cost effective ways too. Highly recommended.
