The Experience

A joy to come and stay in this high-ceilinged, light-filled studio looking out onto an orchard and walled kitchen garden. Outside you have your own secluded garden with potted plants – a lovely place to relax on sunny days, or eat al fresco. Beyond this are acres of woodland, formal gardens, sculpture park and wildflower meadows to wander freely – you get a pass to the gardens.

Inside has a modern feel with wooden floors and polished concrete stairs. You’ll find a little kitchenette with kettle, toaster and Nespresso machine and you can order food from The Green Barn. Sleep peacefully in a large four-poster bed downstairs, take a book from the shelves and pop up to the peaceful mezzanine for a quiet read. The whole space is beautifully designed and pleasing to the eye.

There’s lots to do on the estate: play tennis, pick up delicious food and pretty homeware at the shop, or treat yourself to Sunday lunch in the restaurant.

A super place to stay! Especially for a weekend, there's no need to travel further as you have a restaurant, shop and walks all on site.

Location

The neighbourhood

You can wander to a Quaker village and Ballitore has a good pub, The Harp. You're just a half-hour drive from Kildare for Japanese gardens, the National Stud, shops, restaurants and a snazzy new retail park. Explore Athy for a rich history, a pretty canal and Clancy's pub, or head to Naas for walking tours of the town, or walks along the Grad tow path. Find golf courses, stately homes and gardens.
