The Experience
An attractive Georgian stone cottage in the courtyard garden, filled with character and beauty. You’ll feel cosy with open fires, wood-burning stoves, a warming Aga and plenty of family art and antiques. Spend time in the large sitting room with comfy sofas, good books and lovely views through windows framed in pretty fabrics. Cook in the family-sized kitchen, eat at the large wooden table, or outdoors when it’s balmy.
Bedrooms (one hidden behind the bookshelves downstairs, two upstairs) are equally charming and peaceful with thick mattresses and crisp linen – the master is en suite and the other two share a bathroom. There’s a studio next door sleeping two for larger parties and a travel cot can be arranged.
Wander to the Green Barn restaurant for brunches, lunches or dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. It overlooks the walled gardens, the food ethos is superb and the surroundings delectable. Just get here and join in the good vibes.

Location
The neighbourhood
You could come without a car and just stay – there's so much to do and see on the estate, including a tennis court. Further afield you can visit castles, discover culture and history, play golf or explore Athy and Naas, both with good places to eat and shop. Kildare is half an hour by car and is a grand day out with Japanese gardens, the National Stud and a snazzy shopping outlet.
