The Experience

Sign the blackboard if you’re staying for dinner – and why wouldn’t you when the menu is so tantalising? Everything here is produced locally or on the farm (including Mama’s plum jam); Paolo’s enthusiasm for his venture is intoxicating. He once used to nip between Italy and London with a precious cargo of truffles for top chefs. Since then he’s been busy restoring his grandparents’ old farm and creating this rustic haven. Find traditional interiors, stepped vine-clad terraces, nesting boxes for birds and a beautiful oval pool. Bedrooms are warm and cosy with beamed ceilings, beds are in keeping with the country style and there’s rosy brick flooring throughout. Image a day spent lolling by the pool or in a hammock by the stream as the children make friends with the donkeys, rabbits, hens… and two truffle-hunting hounds! Mushrooms from the garden, truffles from the hills, homemade tagliatelle, biscotti and sweet wine… such bounty is served at long rustic tables under the vine-covered terrace or by the wood fire. If you can tear yourself away, the Sibillini mountains and the Adriatic are close. Slow heaven.

Reviews

Katerina, Baden-Baden

We are going to Ramuse since 2010. It was “ love at first sight”: the beautiful landscape, the quality of the products Paolo, the owner, cooks with( all from local farms or home made), the friendly and relaxing atmosphere including the beautiful cats: Mamma Adolphina and her 3 sons and Trilly dog. The house is authentically restored with the comfort of floor heating. If you are looking for a little paradise, just go there.

Graham, Romford

Another top holiday spent in the beautiful Ramuse. This is the perfect place for peace, relaxation and activity - the choice is yours. The property is spotless. Bedrooms are so comfortable, a lovely place to sleep. Ramuse is conveniently with the coast and mountains less than thirty minutes away. There are plenty of activities taking place throughout the year in local towns and villages. Paolo is always on hand for advice of what to see and do. He is a friendly and caring owner and makes all of his guests feel most welcome. Cannot wait to return!

Christine, Berkhamsted, Herts

Our second visit to this delightful place (first visit September 2016). Paolo is a perfect host serving beautifully cooked locally sourced food, wine and beer. Traditionally styled rooms with lovely views. Charming menagerie and glorious Autumn colours. Many hill-top towns to explore and the nearby snow-capped Sibillini Mountains are spectacular. We intend returning next Spring.

Rohini, London

We visited Agritursimo Ramuse in end August and this was after doing extensive research on Sawdays. I am not sure if my words will do justice to the fantastic experience Paolo gave us. We have 2 small children (1 baby) and my daughter fondly remembers the truffle hunting experience with Trilly dog, the fresh food that Paolo provided us day after day, the donkeys, the swimming pool which was the cleanest outdoor pool I have ever seen. It's an ideal place to explore this virgin region which is unspoilt and so rustic. If you want to be one with nature thenn look no further. We will be back!

Steen, Maidstone

We stayed at Ramuse for the second time in October and had a wonderful stay. Paolo is a warm-hearted and generous host who goes out of his way to look after his guests; the food is delicious; the accommodation is comfortable; the setting is beautiful; even the animals on the farm are friendly. Can’t fault Ramuse - just lovely.
