The Experience

Sign the blackboard if you’re staying for dinner – and why wouldn’t you when the menu is so tantalising? Everything here is produced locally or on the farm (including Mama’s plum jam); Paolo’s enthusiasm for his venture is intoxicating. He once used to nip between Italy and London with a precious cargo of truffles for top chefs. Since then he’s been busy restoring his grandparents’ old farm and creating this rustic haven. Find traditional interiors, stepped vine-clad terraces, nesting boxes for birds and a beautiful oval pool. Bedrooms are warm and cosy with beamed ceilings, beds are in keeping with the country style and there’s rosy brick flooring throughout. Image a day spent lolling by the pool or in a hammock by the stream as the children make friends with the donkeys, rabbits, hens… and two truffle-hunting hounds! Mushrooms from the garden, truffles from the hills, homemade tagliatelle, biscotti and sweet wine… such bounty is served at long rustic tables under the vine-covered terrace or by the wood fire. If you can tear yourself away, the Sibillini mountains and the Adriatic are close. Slow heaven.

Reviews

Joe, Stamford

What a brilliant place this is...we stayed for 4 night but we wish it had been longer. Paulo made us instantly welcome and we were in relaxation mode within minutes. Simple but high quality accommodation, beautiful surroundings and wonderful collection of animals that make the experience extra special. Paulo prepares deliciously authentic and Italian food from organic ingredients and the locally produced wine is equally good. Meal times are communal events so be prepared to be socialable...We'll be back for sure :)

A wonderfull place in nature. It was the third time we visit this agriturismo and sure we will come back. Paolo, the owner, is personal and helpfull. Its an relaxing place, the diner and wine are good, and easy to make contact with the other guests. Good place to visit the beach, Sybilini Mountains or the villages in the surrounding. Or just relax at the swimmingpool area or terras and dream.

We had a lovely holiday at Remuse and can certainly understand why people return again and again. The weather could have been kinder but we still enjoyed our stay at this special place in a very special area.

Christine, Berkhamsted

Wonderful setting, Paolo is a grett host and provides fresh home-grown/locally sourced food, more vegetables and cheese products than heavily meat-based. Have dinner there every night and enjoy the company of fellow guests over a bottle of local, well- selected wine at reasonable prices. The friendly animals (donkeys, cats and, of course, Trilli, the retired truffle hunting dog) are delightful and entertaining. The views are magical and the places to visit (Ascoli Piceno, Piano Grande, Offida, Montalto delle Marche) are stunning. Our 6 nights there were unforgettable and amazing value.

Yvonne

a really, really lovely, heartwarming place with excellent dinner, surroundings and many animals. Paolo (the owner of Ramuse) is an exceptional friendly person and the week we spent there was a litttle bit like staying at home abroud. Especially for people who want to get in touch with new people - it's a place to find new friends. And it is the perfect place to calm down yourself, to relax and get in touch with the soul of the "Marche". The national park of "Monte Sibillini" is very near and it is the perfect place to explore this beautiful part of nature.
