This 18th-century Navarran mansion house is set in a small hamlet with stunning views across a valley towards distant hills. It’s been sensitively restored by Iosu and his brother, with the original stone walls, grand staircase and high ceilings remaining.
Breakfast is in the large dining room next to the fireplace – local sheep’s cheese, salami, seasonal fruit and yoghurt, plus homemade bread and jams and honey from Iosu’s brother’s bees. Decide at breakfast if you want to stay in for three-course dinners or drive ten minutes to Los Arcos for restaurants.
Find board games in the dining area and a games room in the cellar; sit out on the terrace. Foodies will delight in the local specialties – asparagus, truffles, salami, local wines, olive oil; you can explore historic Roman sites and towns or ride bikes along the Via Verde.
