Round House East

This was our first stay at the Round House East and we were delighted with what awaited us - a well appointed, clean and comfortable accommodation that suited our needs, and that of our labrador, throughout our one week stay. We enjoyed sitting in the garden in the afternoon sun as well as staying warmly snug inside when an October storm arrived. Communications with the owner were first class from the time of booking, to receiving clear arrival directions (using the wider of the local roads) to dealing with any queries we had during our visit (good, reliable WiFi, fast enough for our needs).

Full of history , it is beautifully furnished, spotless, comfortable ; great for the two of us and our cocker spaniel. There are spectacular walks along the coast right from the cottage. There are superb restaurants nearby. The owner has some great recommendations on the web site . We loved Driftwood for a special lunch time treat on the terrace. The hidden hut is a hidden gem! The instructions to find and open the cottage were faultless. There is helpful information in the cottage, including photos of the path to the beach . We couldn't have asked for more. We will be back!

It was lovely to be back at Round House East during these strange times. It’s a very comfortable cottage in a lovely village. We came last year, but this year we did different walks and visited new places. The Roseland Peninsula is a lovely area to explore.

Round House East is lovely, quirky, homely, spacious and very comfortable for 2 people and super dog friendly (although, most important, did not smell of dogs when we arrived so don’t hesitate to use, non doggy people!). Super king very comfortable bed and felt like ‘home from home’. Gorgeous area for walking the coastal path and a 15 minute walk takes you to the spectacular Pendower beach which is dog friendly. Tried many of Ian’s list of pubs and not disappointed with any of them 🙂 The Roseland Peninsula is a beautiful part of Cornwall we had not visited before and we will be back......

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Round House East. It's perfect for two people, quirky but very comfortable, and super dog friendly. Veryan village has an excellent pub and village store 2 minutes walk away, and walking paths from the door. A great stay.
