Come to be inspired by the landscape and the serene hills, the rushing
river Eden (much bigger than you might expect) and dramatic cloud
formations. On warm days you'll be outdoors by the water, perhaps with a
barbecue, on colder ones you can make yourself comfortable inside by the
Aga or the fire in the sitting room with a book. This is a lovely light, warm
house.

Abbotts Moss is such a special place for our family. It feels like home from home, with space and peace and comfort for each member of the family. Waking up to the lake view; watching a movie by the fire; enjoying morning coffee at the kitchen table in complete silence: it’s all a tonic for the soul. Julia (the house keeper) leaves us perfectly clean white beds, eggs from the best chickens in the world, and cake and wine on arrival- we couldn’t ask for more care, comfort, cleanliness! We will return for our fifth visit when we can!
